Pop's retirement

We were able to go out for my dad's retirement party at the beginning of September. He had been in the USAF Reserves for 34 years. He unwillingly retired. He loved the Air Force and loved serving his country. He had been deployed a few times, recently he had gone to Iraq and Afghanistan. He was kind enough to give each of his kids a framed flag that he had flown over there. Its amazing how much he loves his country. I'm not sure what he will do with out it. He has many building projects that have been put on hold due to his career so maybe he will get them done now. It was great to be apart of his ceremony. It was held on the C-130 which he was a load master on for all 34 years.

The night before we left to go home we were able to have a fox come up on the deck and Jason fed it some lunch meat out of his hand.

OK so not only has it been awhile but it has really been forever since I have last posted something on here and Heather is my real motivation I'm tired of hearing her say "oh lets see whats new on your blog...blah blah blah." I suppose its time for an update. However, I don't feel I have to much exciting things to mention. This summer we have been very busy. We have made numerous trips and lots of time away from home. We have been to Colorado more times then I can count. Kelly went out for Kyle's graduation and for him to open his mission letter, he will be going to Hawaii reporting the 3rd of September to the MTC, we both went out for the 4th of July and our niece Lily's blessing, and we are about to go out one more time for Kelly's dad's retirement ceremony/party, Kelly has been asked to sing the national anthem at it so she is nervous and getting ready for that. Kelly also went to Missouri for her best friend Sarah's wedding where she spent a week visiting old friends, Jason has had the opportunity to go bow hunting in the Beaver mountains with his dad, his dad got a small buck but Jas has yet to get anything. We both have much faith that he will get a huge massive buck this year though. We have also been able to go down to Moab to see Jason's mom a few times. Amelia Badelia also had her first birthday so we were able to come and join in the celebration. So here are some pictures of our adventures. oh ps I did go blonde for a short while b/c I thought its only hair and you only live once so what the hey but now Im glad to be back to the natural color
